What happens during a facial?

Your appointment begins with a consultation. This enables us to get an idea of your skin concerns and skin type, the first step in personalising your facial.

The treatment begins with cleansing the face, neck and décolleté twice. The first cleanse removes make-up and any products, the second cleanse cleans the skin. Next the skin is exfoliated to remove dead skin cells. This is all performed whilst the skin is gently steamed to warm the skin tissues and soften the debris clogging the pores.

Now that the skin is clean, your aesthetician will look at your skin under a special lamp that enables her to thoroughly perform an accurate skin analysis.

Manual extraction is performed to clear out blackheads and clogged pores.

Next, facial massage helps to drain away fluid in your face, reduce puffiness and ease tension, as well as lift and sculpt your muscles. It stimulates the skin causing an increase in blood and oxygen flow.

An appropriate mask is applied to address your skin care concerns. While the mask gets to work you can choose to have either have a hand or scalp massage.

Finally, your skin will be dressed before leaving; moisturisers, serums, eye creams and SPF will be applied.
